Happy Leap Year!
Ninjas!
I couldn’t resist an opportunity to post my typical Thursday blog on Leap year. So here it is.
I’ve been MIA for the month of February because I was going through some medical issues. I originally wasn’t going to post a blog either but I don’t want to miss out on having a blog post on leap year.
There is a bit of a time crunch as I wasn’t able to focus on my blog -at all- during this…
“I don’t need to be good, just remembered.”
I recently watched this documentary on the making of the video game Blasphemous.
Blasphemous was enthralling. It is the only 2d platformer that combined horror and Catholicism in a video game.
Towards the end of the video, one of the game developers shared something profound.
“I’d like us to be, maybe not the best, but the most remembered.”
This statement deeply resonated with me. I watched…
Release Dates and Displates and a Happy New Year!
Ninjas,
There was no November blog post because my website was under maintenance for backend upgrades. As a result, December’s blog post will contain DOUBLE the news. Let’s get started.
My guest appearance on The Merry Writer podcast with hosts Ari Meghlen and Rachel Poli
If you’re a horror fan and you want to know a bit about the craft and secrets of writing horror, this is the episode for…
It’s my birthday and here’s how I’m going to celebrate!
Ninjas,
I’ve completed 39 rotations around the sun, and I can’t say I feel any different than the thirty-eight that came before. There are more grey hairs, more unwanted bumps, and a belly I can’t seem to shrink. My wife wanted to drag me to all sorts of fun events. I declined and said my perfect day would be to take off from work and stay home to relax and recharge. THEN, on Saturday, take my…
TMNT: Mutant Mayhem better than the original?
Is TMNT: Mutant Mayhem somehow better than the original? Read my review to find out.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is a brand-new entry and reboot of a franchise that existed before cell phones and the internet. What you may be surprised to know is that TMNT was NOT created in Japan. It is actually the product of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, two Americans. They weren’t professionals when they created TMNT, they were amateur nerds who wanted to write their own…
Summer Update 2023
It’s been a busy 2023 summer, here’s what I’ve been working on.
S’up ninjas!
If you’re not subscribed to my newsletter, you may have been wondering why this blog hasn’t been updated since June. I informed my subscribers I would be taking a short hiatus to work on my writing projects.
The hiatus is over and you missed on some cool artwork of Cindy, Jadie, and a secret unannounced character planned for a later book. If you don’t want to miss out on this…
Succession why should you watch a show about awful people?
I thought we all hated the rich?
Succession is a show on HBO Max about three siblings squabbling for control of Waystar Royco when it becomes apparent their father Logan Roy can no longer lead the company.Logan has to decide which one of his incompetent kids has the killer instinct to carry on his legacy. Basically, the Murdoch family – Fox News TV show.

Does Everything, Everywhere, All at Once deserve its Oscars?
Everything, Everywhere, All at Once is the most insane, off the wall, completely bananas movie I had ever seen and it’s a really, really long title. From now on, I will be referring to Everything, Everywhere, All at Once as EEAAO.
Should you watch it? Let’s dive into what all the buzz is about.
Streaming on: Paramount+ with Starz upgrade as of this writing.
So, even though you have broken my…
Physical 100, a competitive game show done right
Physical 100 takes away everything I hate about American competitive gameshows and whittles the concept down to the single most important part of these shows … the competitors. As someone who grew up on American Gladiators and have watched American Ninja Warrior, Broken Skull, Road Rules, The Challenge, Physical 100 blew my expectations out of the water.
What does Physical 100 do differently…
2023 Project Goals
Happy New Year readers!
As has so far been tradition … January is officially the month where I write a blog post on my writing and project plans for 2023. Consider this the literary version of the State of the Union or… the State of the Ninja, lol. I talk about my plans for the future, goals, and what projects I’m working on.
Let’s get started.
What am I working on?
For those of you who…
